Rebecca Karamaena

Rebecca is based in the Wanaka office and joined Checketts McKay Law Limited as a solicitor in April 2009.

While studying at Otago University, Rebecca spent a number of summers working in the Alexandra office of Checketts McKay.  After graduating she spent several years in Wellington working for a large national law firm, practising primarily in the commercial law area.

Rebecca grew up in Alexandra and now lives in Wanaka with her husband, Hemi.  They both enjoy the great Southern Lakes lifestyle and look forward to becoming involved in the Wanaka community.

Rebecca's main areas of practice include commercial property and advice, asset protection, trusts, wills and estate planning, residential and commercial conveyancing as well as a special focus on resource management.
